Kids and parents alike are saddened by the news that Toys R Us is closing down. For generations, kids have been playing with their favorite toys in these stores. Some of us may even remember shopping for our own childhood favorites at a Toys R Us as well! But this era has come to an end. Now is your last chance to shop there before they close up shop forever on Friday, April 27th.

The announcement that Toys R Us is closing down has been breaking hearts all over the world. Children have been crying and parents are panicking about where to buy toys for their kids in future.
Toys R Us was one of the few toy stores that had a wide variety of items, including some obscure brands like Lego Friends or Furreal Friends with interactive technology such as eye-blinking eyes and touch sensors on paws. At its peak, ToysRUs had more than 100 locations across North America but now only 34 remain open. The company filed for bankruptcy protection last September after it became clear shoppers were turning away from brick-and-mortar shops in favor of online retailers like Amazon or at least ones closer to home, — The news has been out for awhile, but Toys R Us is finally set to close its doors on Friday. It’s hard to imagine a world without the iconic store in it, so here are some of our favorite memories from their 80-year history: * One time when I was little my dad took me inside and we played with Legos together! We were both big Lego fans and they had an entire section devoted just to them.
