One thing I’ve learned from my experience as both a traditional student at 18 years old when I started college and now attending classes as a nontraditional student at 28 years old, is that there are many people who want to help you.
– Your college has programs in place specifically for older students looking for guidance and support such as the office of Adult Students or resources such as an orientation geared towards your age group which will provide all the information about what classes would be best for you based on your life experience and work history. They also have staff members with expertise in advising adults who can answer questions related to making decisions about financial aid loans, scholarships, transferring credits from other colleges, selecting courses after high school graduation or deciding if going back to school is right for them.
