The post office in our neighborhood is located in a small strip mall called the Walnut Grove Mall. It is very close to the grocery store, which is very near the post office. That’s it. If we are going to post letters, we need to be right in front of the post office.
We have a very good reason for this. The postal carrier often delivers letters in a more convenient location if he is close enough to the postal service to go that route. He also picks up packages for us.
In our case, this doesn’t mean we don’t send letters to anyone. In fact it is our primary method of communication. This is because we can’t post packages to all of our addresses. Some addresses are very rural or very difficult to reach, like our house.

We also send packages to people we have known for years, like a favorite aunt or uncle. And of course we send packages to people who live far away, like a distant cousin or a distant brother.
The USPS is our largest and best customer. It is, in fact, our biggest competitor, but it’s also our biggest customer, and as such, we are very careful to not only provide the best packages possible, but also to be very courteous with it. We also send packages with our own personal care package – a small bottle of liquid.
We are a postal service that cares about its customers. We try to keep our workers happy and our customers happy. That means we are more than just a delivery service. We are also a part of our delivery drivers so we can give any customer a friendly smile when they arrive.
