‘s something extra special about a live performance with an instrument, or by someone who knows themself well enough to not need the help. I don’t think that auto-tuning is ruining music but I think it’s bound to dilute our appreciation for true talent and musicality if we rely on it too heavily in today’s landscape. In my opinion, Auto-Tune detracts from real singers even more than people like Britney Spears because she can actually sing pretty decently without any assistance! It just so happens that her voice is grating. But still–it doesn’t say anything bad about his/her skill as a singer when they’re singing live during concerts either. And unlike those other autot is a reason why modern day singers are able to sing their songs live without auto-tune, and also sound incredible.
I personally would rather hear an unedited singer than the effects of autotuning every single note in his or her song. Aren’t we getting tired of hearing all this robotic sounding music? It’s becoming too much like everything else on the radio these days, so it turns out that I’m just not into using auto-tune after all.
Why You Should Use Auto-Tune: because you should use autotuned tbh and i wont irl
So far when I’ve used auto tune my voice sounds more professional..so for me having less talent has been ok bc with my natural are plenty of other instruments to cover these parts.
I want my favorite artists to think they’re good enough without any help from a machine, and I refuse to listen if it means that their mistakes will be smoothed over with auto-tune so we can’t hear them for what they really are. It’s easy but not fun or authentic–and you don’t have anything new or different after awhile!
My Own Thoughts: __ __
Auto-Tune is great when used right, but I agree with the opinion that people shouldn’t need it just because they’re bad singers. However, some songs sound better than others – which might mean there needs more work done on themGrowing up in the 90s, I was obsessed with music. It’s what got me through my childhood and helped me cope with all the things that life throws our way. When I first saw auto-tune on TV, it seemed like a gimmick to sell records or tickets to concerts. It didn’t seem genuine. But over time, I began using autotune for certain songs because they were catchy and easy to sing along too–I couldn’t help it!
When I started doing karaoke professionally, it became my job to use autotune and sing songs that weren’t written especially for me. That’s when I realized the importance of auto-tune in today’s music industry. It can help people sound better than they actually are or cover up mistakes like any other instrument would. And if you’re not a singer at all, why should you be expected to do it live? Auto-tune makes even the worst singers sound good enough–a skill which is severely lacking these days!
I think it takes away from our appreciation for real talent by forcing them to perform something they don’t want to just because we find their voice unpleasant (or off key). There
