There is no doubt that there is a certain amount of self-awareness that we need to develop to live as well as possible. I am not talking about the “self-awareness” that many have talked about, but the ability to truly assess our circumstances and learn from them. In this way, there is more self-awareness, less self-judgment, less self-hate, and more self-compassion and positive self-direction.
