You know that picture in the magazine you got for your birthday? It’s the one where the woman is carrying a bunch of sunflowers around? All of a sudden, it’s like, “Wait. That’s what I want for my cards.” Well, this is the same thing.
You know what they say when you get the invitation to a special event? You don’t want to be the one who has to send the card. I mean, its such a pain to have to write a card that says, “Please send me a card, I’m dying of the flu.
You should definitely send me a card. It is very important that you do, especially on holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. If you don’t, you will be stuck with the same card for years. Remember, the more you have to think about something, the more likely it is to get lost on you.
I know what you are thinking, “But if I send a card, there will be no one there to see me!” The truth is, if you are invited by someone to a special event, you should definitely let them know what you are doing, but also let them know that you are going to be there alone. This way they will appreciate you more and you will be able to talk to them more than if you had to send them the card.
While I’m on the subject of business cards, here is a tip from my own personal experience on how to make them speak to you in a way that you can actually read. I always put a picture on my cards of myself, because you see me more in pictures than you do from a conversation. Then I can just look at it and see what I said and what I want to do next. So I put that as my front picture.
I’ve been using them for a while now and I finally have the business cards that I need for my marketing business. My original idea was to use them for personal mailings, flyers, and so forth. But then I realized that if I used them for marketing, it would be easy to forget that I had them. I also realized that I can still get them to talk to me with my cell phone, or whatever my cell number is.
Like most of the other business cards I have, my own business cards also come with an email address that I can use if I ever need to contact customers or potential customers. It’s not a lot of hard work to make the cards look like mail, but it’s very easy to make them look like something else.
I don’t have a lot of patience for business cards, but I’ve been known to send one to a bunch of random people. And when they don’t send back a card, I’m pretty certain I’ve just missed them.
Yes, there are some things that I can’t resist – the business card, the email address, the phone number. But there are many others that I just like when they’re in new formats, or when they’re in a design that looks good on a phone.
They don’t have to be boring though. You can add the company logo and/or a contact name to the card. You can also use your own company name. If you want your company’s logo on the card, you can use your own logo as well. Some companies may insist you use their logo. Some companies may even take the opportunity to sell you their logo, which you can simply download to add to your own business card.
