Businesses are often built in the same area so that they have access to the same market. Greenville is a perfect place to do business.
But why is it so easy to call Greenville a financial hub? After all, the majority of the area is residential. Most of the businesses are located in the downtown area, near the banks, and the metro area. The entire city center is the most populated area in the U.S. as far as income and employment goes.
The city is extremely diverse. There are hundreds of stores, restaurants, and services, so it is easy for a business to call itself a “financial hub”. It is still very easy to call Greenville a financial hub because it is far from the city center. However, there are many places that are a “financial hub”, and they are far from the city center.
To be a financial hub in Greenville, you’ve got to be the financial center of your community. For instance, the downtown area itself is the financial center, but it is not the center of everything. The city itself is a financial hub and is far from the heart of Greenville.
