I think most of us have an unshakable faith in our personal power and the god-like qualities of our health. We trust our doctors, our diet, and our prayer. We also believe that these things are the cause of our health and well-being.
Yet, there are those who would argue that we could do everything on our own, and this is why God’s pharmacy is a very popular idea. The idea is that, with the right level of faith and the right amount of hard work, we can find an answer to our most pressing health concerns. According to the Catholic Church, it’s only God who knows exactly which drugs can be used for which illnesses.
The movie starts in the beginning with a group of people who are trying to get a new home, or a new life. The goal is to find out what the kids have to eat, and what their parents may want to put in their place. The movie ends when a stranger appears on the scene and gives us some of our favorite food to eat, all of whom we know, along with a message for the party.
But the message we get is a challenge. The stranger says, “Why are you guys here?” The kids say, “We are here because we are your children.” The stranger says, “You can’t be my children.” Then we are shown a family eating a family meal of the stranger’s choosing.
