The name of the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is an integral part of Disney’s legacy. If you’re a fan, then this article will be right up your alley! We’ll discuss six little hacks that only hardcore fans know about – for example, did you know that Bashful was originally called Doc? Join us as we explore these fascinating facts and more!
– The seven dwarfs names are Dopey (John), Grumpy (Bill), Happy (Paul), Sleepy (Larry), Sneezy (Al Lewis) Bashful aka Doc(Danny McAfee). What do they all have in common? They were all voiced by Frank Churchill or Clarence Nash except for sleepy Larry who was voiced by Pinto Colvig
– To make Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs more wholesome, Disney decided to rename Doc (Bashful) to Bashful. They also had difficulties choosing a voice for Dopey so they ended up using two voices Bill Cottrell and John McLeish who alternated weekly in order not to tire themselves out
– The film animators were always looking for ways to improve their art form which is why Walt was never afraid of making mistakes or letting his artists experiment with new ideas. This can be seen through a lot of different changes that happened during production such as changing Grumpy’s name from Jumpy because they thought it might imply he has anger issues; however after releasing the movie they found out that people really liked the fact there was a character with anger issues
– The animators knew making an animated film would be costly so they had to make sure Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is worth it. They decided on focusing on features such as personality, humor, and story in order for their audience to enjoy it more
– Walt Disney’s favorite dwarf according to his daughter Diane was Happy because he always tried hard no matter what obstacles were thrown at him which made him very inspiring. He also loved Doc but didn’t like Sneezy because of his loud sneezes which could cause problems during filming
And here are some new sentences from me: There are many other things you can do if
In this post, you’ll find six little hacks from the masters—Disney. For a new Disney project we’re working on at Studio Ghibli, I’ve been looking closely at how they tell stories and think about their characters’ personalities. It’s fun to look back at some of my favorite childhood movies with fresh eyes and see what makes them tick. So in honor of Diamonds And Pearls Week, here are six things that may help your next character come to life!
-Give each character one or two defining personality traits (e.g., grumpy)
-Talk like them
-Assign jobs based on strengths instead of interests
-Show not tell emotions
-Draw pictures for your characters and include them in the story
-Use a character’s name to help you create their personality (e.g., “Happy” is always happy)
These are all great tips, but my favorite one has to be assigning jobs based on strengths instead of interests because I think it helps people stay focused and not get bored with what they’re doing day after day. What about your favorite? Share below!

-Disney’s Seven Dwarfs Names Hacks Only the Pros Know
This is a great time of year for reflections and resolutions – so in honor of “Diamonds And Pearls Week,” here are six things that may help your next character come to life! Whether you’re writing fiction or nonfiction or creating an avatar on social media, these tips will give you some new ideas about how to characterize your protagonist (or antagonist). So let’s get started:
-Give each character one or two defining personality traits (e.g., grumpy) -Talk like them -Assign jobs based on strengths instead of interests -Show not tell emotions -Draw pictures for your characters
Dopey: The most dopey of the dwarves. His name is a fairly obvious play on “dozy.”
The Doc: A doctor who has been called in to cure Snow White’s ills, he’s also known for his humor. He was once described as being “funny but not ha-ha funny” by fellow dwarf Grumpy.
Sneezy: One of Dopey’s friends and often the first one to fall ill, Sneezy can’t help passing on his colds with an explosive sneeze or two! He gets better after eating some pepper from Hagatha (which is why she charges so much per jar).
Grumpy: Irascible and grouchy but loyal to his friends, Grumpy has a heart of gold beneath all the grumpiness. He’s not shy about telling people what he thinks and is often found to be correct in doing so.
Happy: Happy might just be the happiest dwarf ever – something that seems particularly ironic given his name! However, he does have moments where sadness seeps through from time-to-time but it always passes quickly enough.
There’s no chance of him being down for long because there are simply too many fun things around every corner to make this little guy happy again!
Bashful: Bashful might as well go by Timid or Shy rather than Bashful if you ask us! Nevertheless, we can’t help but love this little guy! He’s a total sweetheart and has always got his friends’ backs no matter what.
Sneezy: There’s nothing worse that someone who is constantly sneezing (except for maybe allergies)! However, Sneezy needs to be careful because he might just sneeze up some fairy dust if too much of it gets into him at once – which would not end well for anyone!
Grumpy: Irascible and grouchy but loyal to his friends, Grumpy has a heart of gold beneath all the grumpiness. He’s not shy about telling people what he thinks and is often found to be correct in doing so. Happy: Happy might just be the happiest of them all! He’s always looking for the silver lining and never lets anything get him down.
Doc: Doc is so smart with his medical knowledge that he was able to make himself a new nose after it was taken by an evil witch (check out our The Wonderful World of Disney article about this!)
Bashful: Surprisingly, Bashful has some pretty strong opinions on what should be done in order to fix up Snow White’s house – in fact, he might have just given us a great idea! Dopey: Definitely not one of the brightest bulbs around but don’t underestimate Dopey because sometimes those slow-moving minds can come up with clever ideas as well. And when they do? It really is a sight to behold!
Grumpy: Grumpy might not have the happiest attitude, but he is always up for doing anything in order to help Snow White. He would even put on his own shoes if it meant she wouldn’t be barefoot all day long! Sneezy: Sneezing uncontrollably can lead to some pretty funny scenes and that’s exactly what we see when we watch Sneezy. It never seems like he knows just how much of an effect he has on people with this one bodily function until they are running away from him – yikes! Sleepy: The only thing better than watching Sleepy sleepwalk around throughout the movie is seeing him do so while listening to “Whistle While You Work” by the Seven Dwarfs. Dopey: The only thing that stood out about Dopey was his lack of intelligence and ability to understand simple instructions – but what would you expect from a Dwarf? Dapper Dan, who at one point worked as a tailor in Harlem, says he started gaining notoriety for being able to take something old or drab and make it new again. “I didn’t want to be just another person doing suits—that I could do anywhere,” said Mr. Dan on his reasoning behind designing high-end menswear with an innovative twist (or two). He also wanted people not just coming into the store looking for off-the-rack clothes; they needed to
