Angel names for boys are always a difficult decision. There are so many to choose from and you want your child to have the perfect name that will stand out in school, at church, or as he grows up. One of the most popular baby naming websites has just released their new list of corona virus names for boys which may be just what you need!
The virus that has been in the news since last year is called MERS-CoV and it’s just as deadly. It was first discovered back in 2012 when a traveler from Saudi Arabia came down with this new coronavirus, but now the number of cases have quadrupled to 400 people worldwide. There are still questions about how many infections there really are because not all countries report their incidences to WHO (World Health Organization). The U.S., Canada, France, Germany and Tunisia seem untouched so far by this virus for some reason that scientists don’t quite know yet.
If you’re looking for an alternative name for your son or grandson then here are 14 names taken straight out of our newest list: Adenitis, Angeles, Angelicus, Anjoel.
The World Health Organization has issued a warning against travel to the Middle East region; they are still investigating how this virus is spread and think it may have originated from camels since some people seem to be infected by just being near them. To date there’s no vaccine or treatment for MERS-CoV so all we can do at this point is wait until more research comes in about what causes it and how best to protect ourselves and others.
MERS-CoV is an abbreviation for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus. It’s a type of coronavirus, which has symptoms similar to the common cold or flu at first but can lead up to more serious problems such as kidney failure and pneumonia. The virus was discovered less than two years ago in 2012; so far it has been reported in Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE). One person with MERS CoV arrived from Jeddah on April 24th and is hospitalized now under intensive care. To date there have only been about 300 cases worldwide since 2004 when we started keeping records of this disease – too few for any significant conclusions yet!
Other Countries:
In other countries, such as the United States and Spain, there have been no reports of MERS-CoV. So while it is still important to use caution when traveling to these places or areas (especially in hospitals) we can rest assured that it’s not something likely to come back here!

Another Day, Another Coronavirus: Angel Names for Boys
To start with a bit of light humor and insight into the virus itself, coronavirus is an RNA-based (rather than DNA) pathogen that infects our cells by attaching to their surface receptors. It was first identified in 2012 when it caused an outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome or SARS. This led researchers to develop tests so they could identify any cases before they became pandemic like SARS did which helped us limit its spread during those early years. Fortunately though MERS-CoV doesn’t seem to be as contagious as other viruses such as influenza at least so far.
The virus is named after the constellation Corona, or Crown in Latin which depicts a wreath of roses or leaves surmounted by a cross and symbolizes power and royalty (which probably explains why it was picked). In 2016 alone there were over 800 cases reported with some recent data suggesting that MERS-CoV may be evolving to become more contagious as we see higher rates of secondary transmission from one person to another now than before. Yet coronavirus can’t pass through an airtight barrier such as plastic tarp so for now at least the risk seems limited.
Some other interesting facts about coronavirus: it’s also known as “croup” because it produces similar symptoms like coughing, wheezing,
The Angel Names for Boys Coronavirus is a coronavirus that was first identified in 2012, and has been responsible for the deaths of over 100 people. It appears to be contagious though close contact with infected patients or contaminated surfaces such as bedding, but does not seem to spread through respiratory droplets like other common infectious diseases.
Despite this recent outbreak occurring mainly in Saudi Arabia, many parents are struggling to find names they can live with if it turns out their child becomes ill from this virus. Here are 14 angel name ideas for boys that could work either way:
– Raziel is a Hebrew word meaning “angel” which might provide some solace during difficult times.
– Michael means “Who is like God?” and is said to be the archangel who defeated Satan.
– Gabriel means “God’s hero” in Hebrew, but also means “the power of God”.
– Azrael may not seem angelic as its meaning translates into “The Angel of Death”, though it does represent a transition from life to whatever comes next.
– Ariel is an Old Testament name that literally means ‘lion’ or ‘strong one’. It was later associated with King David’s strongman (and his killer), Goliath. Though more recently, this word has come to mean the sea because of a Broadway musical about mermaids.
Ariel could work for either boys or girls!

*Michael (who is like god?) – The Archangel Michael was once referred to as a Princeps Angelorum–or Leader of Angels–because he vanquished the devil when they battled over the body of Moses on Mount Sinai. He can now commonly refer to any angel which has been given that name; it does not need to reference this event specifically. Michael may also mean: “Who Is Like God?” or “The Power Of God” depending on how he is translated from Hebrew. *Gabriel (god’s hero) – Gabriel means “God’s Hero” in Hebrew, but it also means “The Power of God” or “Who Is Like God?” depending on how you translate the name. In either case, this angel appears to be a benevolent protector and guide for all who are seeking answers about their lives. He may appear before them as an apparition with messages they need to hear during times of great change in their life-whether it be death, disaster, illness, birth or any other pivotal event that can alter someone’s course completely. It seems unfair then that so many men have been named after simple archangels while women
