I have a confession to make.
We’re going into the coldest months of our year, and I’ve been binging on Netflix shows that are named after stormy weather.
The more overcast skies we get right now in New England, the better! This is an exciting time for TV addicts like myself who crave drama (especially if it’s amped up by some truly great acting). And nothing makes me want to hunker down with my laptop or phone than when there’s thunderstorms outside. The sound of rain pattering against my windows soothes me–and then I binge watch all night long without regretting anything because winter blues can be cured by this addiction too. So here’s a list of ten shows to watch if you feel the same.

What does “storm” mean? The word storm has various definitions depending on context but in general it conveys powerful winds or rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. It is also used to describe an intense emotional state with particularly exciting features or dramatic effects. So when someone says “it’s the start of a storm,” they are warning that something major is about to happen – whether bad like hurricane Florence being miles from shore (yesterday) or good like Beyonce dropping her album early this morning! Both kinds of storms can be thrilling for different reasons so let me give you my list of what I consider to be the best TV shows on Netflix that have words meaning storm.
